CASA
Youth Advocacy & Community Service
In addition to leading Resilient Youth of Tomorrow, Airy Tilghman serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer in Washington, DC. In this role, she advocates for youth involved in the foster care system by ensuring their voices, needs, and best interests are represented in court and within the child welfare system.
As a CASA volunteer, Airy meets regularly with youth, gathers information from educators, social workers, and caregivers, and prepares detailed court reports to help judges make informed decisions that support the child’s safety, stability, and long-term well-being.
Her advocacy work reflects her deep commitment to supporting young people navigating difficult life circumstances and ensuring they receive the guidance, support, and opportunities they deserve.
